Alvin was my first cousin. His mother, Aunt Betty, was my favorite when I was young and I remember my father taking us to see them at the drug store. I was so proud of him as a doctor. He helped educate so many of my contemporaries who became DOs. I haven't seen him in years, but talked to him last about two years ago.We were out of touch but I always thought about him and asked my sister how he was as she was in closer touch with our father's family. I know he was a good father and husband and I regret not seeing him before he passed away. I will miss him.Murray Helfer
