Audrey Rita Bauer's Obituary
Audrey Rita Bauer, a resident of Boynton Beach, FL and Ventnor, NJ passed away on
May 23, 2023, at the age of 93.
She was married to her childhood sweetheart, Maurice Bauer who passed away
October 19, 2022, for 70 years, they traveled around the world, had wonderful friends,
were in the auxiliary coastguard, skied, snorkeled, went scuba diving, earned a bunch of
bowling trophies, played tennis, golf and exercised. She and Maurice loved dancing,
and showed their fancy footwork whenever they heard music.
Audrey worked hard at staying healthy, talking long walks, participating in water
aerobics and exercise classes. More than anything though was her love for her family.
Her belief was that you step up for your family, she stepped up in a big way, every day,
for as long as she could.
Survivors include her son, Paul Bauer; daughter, Nancy Bauer Lederman, daughter-inlaw Joanne Bauer, grandchildren Jaime Bauer, Sara and Jesse Lederman. Mrs. Bauer
will be laid to rest 10:30 AM on Wednesday June 7th at South Florida National
Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL
33437.
Contributions may be made in her loving memory to the non profit Alzheimer’s
Association, www.alz.org. Hopefully future research can work towards uncovering more
of the mysteries behind this awful disease, and bring us closer to better treatments, and
if we even dare to hope, a cure.
