Claire Miriam Cwick's Obituary
Claire Cwick, age 99, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026. Born on June 25, 1926, in the Bronx, New York, Claire lived a remarkable life filled with adventure, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family, friends and faith.
Claire was the beloved wife of the late Howard Cwick and the proud mother of Steven and Laurie. She was a devoted grandmother to Ryan and Amy Lynn, and a loving mother-in-law to Annie. Her family was her greatest source of pride, and she cherished every opportunity to bring loved ones together.
Known affectionately as “Cookie,” Claire had a vibrant personality and a passion for seeing the world. As a travel agent, she helped others create lasting memories while enjoying many adventures of her own, especially cruising to new destinations. She loved sharing stories from her travels and encouraging others to explore new places.
Claire was also known for her honesty—sometimes a little more honesty than people expected—but those who knew her understood that it always came from a place of sincerity and love. She had a special talent for bringing people together around a card table, whether playing dominoes, canasta or mahjong. She especially enjoyed teaching others the games she loved creating friendships and memories that lasted for years.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie; her grandchildren, Ryan (wife Digna) and Amy Lynn; and her daughter-in-law, Annie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cwick, and her son, Steven Cwick.
A graveside service will be held on June 14, 2026, at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hadassah in Claire’s memory by clicking clicking HERE.
