Lit a candle in memory of Darrin Wishansky
I was shocked today like many others when learning of the death of Darrin. I have known him for a little over 5 years and in that time he was a rock, a laughter and a voice of reason. When my husband was so ill and then passed away, Darrin offered such compassion and love and strength. He helped me cope with reality many times. I spoke with him just a few weeks ago. When I called he sounded positive as always, and told me he was fighting and hanging in there. My heart goes out to his family. He loved his wife and his children so very much!DeeDee Davis

Loved dj'in with him, we had our own little digs at each other when we did our shows. When he was living in NYC my wife and I took a drive to go meet him in person. We had a blast, he showed us around the city and we went to dinner together at the Hard Rock. I just laughed and laughed about our first encounter with him because we met him at the Grand Station and I spotted him before he did me. I snuck up behind him and said in a gruff voice with my finger pointed to his back and said, don't you know young man it is dangerous in NYC to not pay attention to your surroundings and he must have jumped a mile in the air! haha he hit me we laughed and greeted each other with a great big hug. I know the story sounds a little cruel for a minute but, that is how we rolled with each other, always giving each other grief! I know one of his great passions outside of dj'in was cooking. He always vowed to me he was going to go to culinary school. After I received my Culinary degree we would talk on the phone always trying to tweak recipes so he had new options meal wise. I am sad to say over the last couple years we had not talked on a regular basis, but was always in my thoughts. Well bud, you are going to be missed! Thank you for being my friend, the good times we had in person, over the phone, and dj'in! Your friend Scott AKA Boxer Shakin' DJ Generations!
