One of my most fondest moments of Ellyn is being snowed in with her during a snow storm in January 2026. That week I was scheduled to work both weekend days. Ellyn had called me the day before and asked if I had saw the news or heard about the upcoming snow storm. I told her I had heard about it, but not to worry I would try my best to make it in to work so she would still see me both days. Ellyn exact words were “looks like you’ll be stuck with me kiddo, pack an overnight bag and stay the weekend so you don’t have to go out in the snow storm if it’s bad”. That weekend it did snow bad, but Ellyn and I ordered food, stayed in, talked about plays that she had seen and plays that she wanted to see. She also talked about her desire to visit the Jersey Shore this Summer and asked if I could clear my schedule to join her at the shore. I agreed and I saw the joy in her eyes as we laughed and talked that entire weekend. She shared with me fond memories of her children and I shared with her fond memories of mine and let her know that my youngest just graduated college and have plans on one day attending med school. Ellyn had asked me meet my youngest and her and I agreed and I told her that I would have her meet my youngest one day soon. While that did not get to happen, my memories of Ellyn will never fade. She had an amazing sense of humor and gave me some of the best laughs. I will always remember her and how she treatment me, not as an employee but like family. In the future where ever there is a snow storm, I will always remember Ellyn.
