Helen G. Schneider's Obituary
Helen Gertrude Schneider, age 92, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, passed peacefully on April 17, 2020 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mrs. Schneider was born in New York, New York on November 9, 1927 to Sol and Sylvia. In 1948, she married Eugene Schneider in New York and they were married for 70 years. Mrs. Schneider worked for the Internal Revenue Service and the State of New York until she retired to Tamarac, Florida in 1980. Thereafter, she worked part-time for the City of Tamarac and Coconut Creek Podiatry Associates, and loved to travel with her husband and family. Her dedication to her family is an inspiration to all those who loved her. Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Harvey; daughter Carol Kartagener; daughter Cheryl Kranowitz (Hy); grandson Paul Kranowitz (Jamie); granddaughter Lori Kushel (Alex); great grandchildren, Madison, Emilia and Jordan; and her brothers, Seymour and Irwin. A graveside service and interment were held on April 21, 2020 at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, Boynton Beach, Florida. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Friends of Magen David Adom (Israeli Ambulance Service) and the Jewish National Fund.
