Jack Donsky, 97, originally from Far Rockaway, NY and later calling Lake Worth home, passed away in the early morning of July 26, 2023. He was many things to many people. Loving husband for seventy-one years to Florence; Dad to Ma Read Obituary
Growing up my father would occasionally talk about his time in the Navy and most of all his shipmates, one in particular Jack Donsky. Later after I move to Ft.Lauderdale from Boston, my parents would start to visit me and see his brother and sister in Miami. I met Jack in in the mid 80's when he visited my father at my condo and there started my relationship with him. After my fathers passing, I visited Jack at his home and presented him with a catholic rosary that my father wanted Jack to have, he accepted it with appreciation in memory of his Navy friend, Tommy. I never realized how how close they were till Jack and I would talk about there time together. Jack never forgot about me, he always called several times a year and we enjoyed talking to each other. It’s with deep regret that we heard about Jacks passing. Our thoughts today are with his family, Jack and I had been working on various telecom related projects up to about a few weeks ago when he suddenly stopped calling, he would sometimes call up to 10 times a day until he got what he was seeking. He never told me his age, so we were very surprised and also impressed that Jack was still to be trying to create new projects at his age. I met with Jack originally about 10 years ago in Miami as he has been a good friend ever since. I had been calling him on WhatsApp without a reply. We are all saddened by his loss and will never forget him.
