Linda Cheryl Weiss Rose's Obituary
It is with great love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of
Linda Cheryl Weiss Rose, who passed away at the age of 76 in Boca Raton, Florida.
Linda was born in the Bronx, New York, and grew up in Cedarhurst. She attended SUNY Albany and later earned her master’s degree from Boston College. After her parents moved south, she relocated to South Florida, where she began building the life that would later bring her to Boca Raton, a place she called home for most of her adult life.
Linda had a curious mind, a vast vocabulary, and a lifelong love of learning. She enjoyed reading, history, and watching Jeopardy, and she was never shy about sharing her opinions, often through thoughtfully written letters to newspaper editors. She found joy in Pilates, volunteering, music by The Beatles and George Gershwin, favorite treats like muffins and peanut M&Ms, watching Judge Judy, and expressing herself through her personal style and love of clothing.
Linda’s relationships were shaped by both closeness and challenge, reflecting a life lived with intensity and strong emotion. She was a woman of strong opinions, deep interests, and a distinctive personality that left a lasting impression on those around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Lara Rose, her son, Joshua Rose, his wife, Alyssa Rose, and her grandsons, Isaac Rose and Owen Rose.
Linda will be remembered for her intellect, individuality, and the mark she left on those who knew her. Her memory lives on through her children, her grandchildren, and the many moments that defined her life.
