My deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved family member. You don't know me and I came across this quite by accident when my daughter and I were going through old photos and she came across one of him from 1979. I told her I knew him from when I lived for a short while in Miami and he was a wonderful, kind and considerate young med student whose cousin I took care of as a brand new nurse. She being of the Internet generation Googled him and showed me this. I hope I am not out of place since its been decades since I talked to him but since my son died last year and I found solace in messages from people who know him years ago I wanted to reach out. He was such a kind soul, funny and considerate and he knew I was new and alone in a new area. He introduced me to people and activities and was easy to talk to. Although our friendship was short (I returned to NY in 1980) and of course we lost touch I never forgot what a warm gentle man he was. My prayers are with you during this devastating time in your family's life. I do have 2 photos of him when we went sailing with friends but will not post them as I do not know if they will cause you more pain. If you would like them I will email them to you.Jill Snyder McGuirk
A great doctor, always upbeat and positive! I shall miss him as will many of his other patients. Always a big smile and keeping me relaxed with his sense of humor.
Dr Ziffer treated me on an emergency basis a while ago. I came back to see him this winter while we in FL. He was very attentive to my problem. He cared. That is how I will remember him. My wife and I send our condolences. Wade Elliott
Mark was a wonderful human being. I remember him as a bright and beautiful little boy coming to New York to visit his stepgrandmother Henia and Uncle Felix to whom I was married.
Mark was a friend and a valued colleague- all of our mutual patients thought the world of him. I will miss his friendship and his professional acumen. My prayers are with the Ziffer family- I will truly miss him.
So sad to learn of Mark's passing. He was a great guy and we enjoyed our discussions at meetings and such. My sincerest condolences to the family.
