My deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved family member. You don't know me and I came across this quite by accident when my daughter and I were going through old photos and she came across one of him from 1979. I told her I knew him from when I lived for a short while in Miami and he was a wonderful, kind and considerate young med student whose cousin I took care of as a brand new nurse. She being of the Internet generation Googled him and showed me this. I hope I am not out of place since its been decades since I talked to him but since my son died last year and I found solace in messages from people who know him years ago I wanted to reach out. He was such a kind soul, funny and considerate and he knew I was new and alone in a new area. He introduced me to people and activities and was easy to talk to. Although our friendship was short (I returned to NY in 1980) and of course we lost touch I never forgot what a warm gentle man he was. My prayers are with you during this devastating time in your family's life. I do have 2 photos of him when we went sailing with friends but will not post them as I do not know if they will cause you more pain.
