I remember when Kim and I were working one night late at Haagen Dazs and my father was managing the store, my father passed out and needed medical attention. Kim called Dr. Z. and he rushed over. The time was after 11pm and we knew we got Dr. Z. out of bed – but you wouldn't know it because when he showed up, he was dressed for work INCLUDING A TIE with his black medical bag! I remember marveling at that; he took such pride in his work.It was clear from watching him at Carli and Heather's bat mitzvahs how much pleasure and happiness he received from all his beloved granddaughters.I will always remember Dr. Ziegler as someone who lived with such joy. He always had a smile on his face and lived like he knew that each day after his kidney transplant was a gift. He is definitely someone to emulate!Sincere condolences to my dear friend Kim and the entire Sley and Ziegler families. In Dr. Z.'s loving memory, a donation has been made to the National Kidney Foundation. With much love, Michele and Mark Stein Jenna, Leah, and Noah And of course Otis – the distant cousin to Lucky and Cooper!!
