Finegold, Mitchell's Obituary
Mitchell (Mitch) Leonard Finegold, 91-years-old, passed away peacefully at his home on May 24, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife, Sondra (Sandy), and family.
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Mitch served in the U.S. Army in France before attending the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he earned a degree in Finance. In 1961, he moved to Florida where he spent the most of his career as a stockbroker. His keen ability to anticipate future trends led to his success. Following his retirement, he continued to trade well into his late 80s.
Mitch and Sandy eloped to New Orleans in 1972 to watch their beloved Miami Dolphins play in Super Bowl VII. They were fortunate to have 54 years together during which time they raised three daughters and created a lifetime of cherished memories. Together they loved traveling, the arts, and spending time with family and friends.
Mitch was born with curiosity and a desire to learn and TEACH. He also had MANY hobbies and passions over his lifetime, including numerous collectables, photography, history, the arts, the slots and treasure hunting. Mitch also loved sports and was an avid Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins fan.
In addition to his wife, Sandy, Mitch is survived by his three daughters, Pamela Houston (Thomas), Wendy Tucker and Laura Stomski (Steven), six grandchildren; Samuel Houston, Emily Gosnell (Paul), Nicholas Houston, Michael Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Jacqueline Stomski, and great grandson, Paul Ellis. Mitch had a large heart and loved giving. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mitch’s name to an organization of your choice.
