Happy Thanksgiving grandma Rita, We miss you so much. On this day for the past 24 years of my life I've always been with you. Today, on the 25th year, you are no longer here. Rita, today would be your 84th birthday. It is a beautiful time of year, with leaves so colorful and the air warm and dry by day and cool and crisp at night. It reminds me of the warmth you gave to all of us and your gratitude for all you had in life. Whether by phone or in person we always had a good laugh and lively conversations. It was such a delight washing and drying the pots and pans with you after Thanksgiving dinner. We were a great team! It will never be the same. To quote you: "Till I see you again – God willing."
Mom, you are never far from our thoughts each day. There are so many things that bring you to mind but what is hardest of all is the wish to hear your voice at the other end of the phone one more time.
