Robert Kleinman's Obituary
Robert (Bob) Lawrence Kleinman age 86 of Deerfield Beach, FL formerly of Ellenville, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side on April 23rd after a long fight with multiple myeloma. Beloved husband of Sarah Rudd Kleinman for 57 years; Loving father of Janine Kleinman, Doreen Kleinman, and Hal Kleinman; Dear brother of Lester (Eleanor) Kleinman in addition to several nieces, nephews, grand nephews and a grand niece. Graveside Service is 12:15 pm Thursday, April 25th at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 State Road 7, Boynton Beach, FL 33473. During his life Bob was a member of the Knights of Pythias, a founding member of the Ellenville First Aid and Rescue Squad, Vice President of the Hudson Valley B’nai B’rith and of member of that organization’s bowling league, and a 37 year pharmacy owner with his brother. He was a proud graduate of the Ellenville Class of 1951 and earned his pharmacy degree in 1956 from Fordham University. He was an active member of the Ellenville/Wawarsing Alumni Association and for several years could be found at their booth during the annual Blueberry Festival. He was a supporter of the Ellenville Central School music program and participated in other school related events. Professionally he was a member of the Ulster County and New York State run pharmaceutical society. He was a lifelong New York Yankees and Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts fan. In addition to cheering for his teams he also enjoyed traveling around the world, swimming in his pool, and was a contestant and winner in 1978 on the game show The Price is Right.
