Ronnie Phyllis Goldberg's Obituary
Ronnie Goldberg, of New York, Eastport and Boca Raton, died peacefully in the arms of her loving husband Stanley Goldberg at home on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the age of 84. Born in June 1941 in the Bronx to David and Cynthia (nee Kupferberg) Korn, she attended PS 64 in the Bronx, Steinway JHS 141 in Queens, W.C. Bryant High School in Queens (Class of ’58) and Adelphi University (Class of ’62). Ronnie was a dedicated French and Spanish teacher at Mattlin Middle School in Plainview, NY and later consulted on travel and subbed in her children’s schools adored by their friends. Ronnie loved to travel the world, ski and play tennis. She had so many tales and stories with which she regaled friends and family. She had a great interest in art history and was the archivist of the family’s ancestry. Every neighborhood stray found its way into her arms, knowing she would open her heart and home. She loved playing canasta and bridge with lifelong friends. Loving wife of Stanley for more than 59 years, she was also the loving and proud mother of Meredith (Phil) Berkowitz and Brad (Kerry Kennedy) Goldberg and the adoring and proud grandmother of Ryan Berkowitz, Georgia Kennedy Goldberg, Devin Berkowitz and Kate Kennedy Goldberg. Ronnie is also survived by her younger brother Richard (Andrea) Korn, and her many nieces, nephews and extended cousins. She would say that she had a great life.
