Wallace Blitz's Obituary
Wally Blitz, of Indian Springs in Boynton Beach, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the age of 90. During their over 53 year marriage,first in Little Neck then Great Neck, NY and more recently in South Florida, Wally was the music and joy in Anita’s life. Wally was a teacher and coach for nearly 40 years in the New York City school system and a part-time musician for his family and friends. Wally never passed a dog without saying hello, and treated everyone with respect and warmth.Wally is survived by his wife Anita, his children Marcy (Izzy) Peter, Jody Eisner, Michael (Moselle) Blitz, and Dan (Stephanie) Blitz, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday March 18, 2019 at Beth Israel Chapel in Boynton Beach followed by interment in Eternal Light Memorial Gardens Cemetery.In honor of Wally’s love of music, through sickness and health, Outreach Song And Dance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization co-founded by his son Dan, established a memorial fund and award to support its unique mission.
